How often should I be marketing my art business?

Consistently — treat it like a retail business that must keep its doors open 5-6 days a week. If you owned a physical gallery, you wouldn’t close it for weeks or months because you ‘weren’t feeling it’ or were ‘burnt out.’ Yet that’s exactly what most artists do with their marketing — they go silent for extended periods. The business can’t grow if the doors are closed. Marketing must go out consistently because that’s what it takes to run a real business. Inconsistent marketing is like locking your gallery doors with a sign that says ‘closed indefinitely’ — no one can buy from you.
