Should I create limited editions, and how do they help pricing?

Limited editions serve a strategic purpose in your pricing structure. By creating limited runs (like one of 100) that you’ll never reproduce again, you create scarcity that drives up both the limited edition value and your original prices. The limited editions give collectors an accessible entry point while the artificial scarcity makes them more valuable than unlimited prints. This pricing ladder—unlimited prints at the bottom, limited editions in the middle, originals at the top—helps push the perceived and actual value of your originals higher because collectors can see the progression.
