How do I make sure I'm capturing all the possible sales from an art show or event?

Research shows you only capture about 60-64% of potential revenue at the event itself. The remaining 40% comes from follow-up over the next one to two years. That means you must collect email addresses and contact info from everyone who shows interest—even if they don’t buy on the spot. Then, nurture those leads with regular email marketing: share your story, showcase new work, announce sales and promotions. Many people need time to think, save up, or simply be reminded before they buy. If you’re not doing the digital follow-up, you’re leaving nearly half your potential revenue on the table at every single show. The event is just the start; the real money is in the relationship you build afterward.
