What is romance marketing and why does it matter for my art sales?
Romance marketing is marketing consistently throughout the year without always having a sale or asking for the purchase. It’s how you warm up your attention from cold to warm to hot. Think of the attention you have as a piggybank—you need to fill it all year long with goodwill, so that when you have a sale, you can cash in on that goodwill. If you haven’t been marketing to your audience consistently and then suddenly hit them with a sale when they haven’t heard from you in months, that attention is cold and won’t convert well. Romance marketing builds the relationship and keeps your audience engaged, so when you do run a sale, they’re primed and ready to respond. This consistent nurturing is what separates effective sales from disappointing ones.
