Your website should look like what kind of space?
Your website should resemble an art gallery or museum as closely as possible. This is the universal paradigm for how art is viewed and sold worldwide—minimalist design, monochromatic walls (usually white), art front and center with good lighting, minimal distractions, clear prices, artist information, and the ability to purchase. Avoid treating your website like a canvas where you apply all your creative design skills. Don’t overload it with colors, fonts, walls of text, slideshows, or music. Keep it simple and gallery-like so the art is the focus, not the website design. Include prices, the ability to visualize art on a wall, and a clear checkout process.
