Should I offer just one type of canvas or paper, or multiple finishes like glossy, matte, and satin?
Start with just one of each. Pick one photo paper (glossy, matte, or satin—whichever you prefer), one fine art paper (smooth or textured), and one canvas. Don’t overwhelm yourself or your buyers with too many options in the beginning. The ‘just ship it’ version is simple: one of each core media type. You can add variety later, but start lean. The same applies to metal and other substrates—pick one finish and move forward.
