What are the three stages or buckets that art businesses fall into?

There are three stages: (1) Starting from absolute zero — no followers, no email list, nothing. (2) Friends and family following — you have some social presence from people you know, maybe a few small sales, but no real business traction. (3) Existing business with traction — you’re making at least $10,000-$30,000 per year in sales. Each stage requires a different approach and different priorities.
