Should I invest money in advertising if I want to grow my art business?
At some point, if you want to grow your business, you’re going to need to invest in it. Starting with ads on platforms like Facebook and Instagram right now is a wise move, especially if you haven’t already. These platforms have all the attention, and that’s not changing anytime soon. It takes time to figure out how it all works—understanding targeting, analyzing data, figuring out what’s working. The more data the platforms have about your audience, the better they perform. You can start for as little as five to ten dollars a day. Yes, you’ll make some mistakes and ‘light some money on fire’ as you learn, but you’ll become more comfortable with the process and get better at it. If you have the budget, this is the cheapest, easiest, quickest way to get your art in front of new eyeballs. Start now with a couple hundred dollars spread out between now and Q4, so when the holiday season hits, you’re ready to scale up effectively.
