Why do artists in their 80s, 90s, and even over 100 years old still show up wanting to learn to sell their art?
Artists never stop creating. For as long as you have the capacity to create art, you’ll be creating and seeking feedback and sales. Unlike other professions where people retire and stop, the creative drive doesn’t shut off. This highlights the importance of that long time horizon—you might be doing this for 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, even 80 more years. That makes it absolutely worth starting to do the right marketing and business things now, even if it’s hard work, because you’ll thank yourself decades down the road.
