Can you give an example of how a small initial purchase can lead to a major sale years later?
One artist had a buyer who purchased a book from them two years ago—an under-$100 non-wall art purchase. That buyer recently contacted the artist about a huge new home where they want multiple pieces, resulting in a six-figure-plus sale opportunity. The key question is: would any of that have happened if the artist hadn’t acquired that customer in the first place with that small initial purchase? The odds of getting that major sale without the initial customer acquisition are not good. This demonstrates why lower-priced items and non-wall art are so important—they get people into your customer base who may become major buyers years later.
