Why is going live like keeping your store window open?
When you go live regularly, you’re giving people a way to perpetually walk by your store. In real life, people walk past storefronts and notice what’s in the window. Online, when you’re not live and not actively showing your work, you’re forcing people to seek you out—to mentally decide to visit your site, like driving to a mall. But when you’re live and that content appears in people’s feeds, it’s like they’re walking past your store window as they scroll. You can change the window dressing every single day—today showing new pieces, tomorrow showing acrylics, the next day showing merchandise. Each time, it’s a fresh opportunity to catch someone’s attention as they’re ‘walking by’ on social media.
