What's the modern equivalent of a gallery being 'open for business'?
Consistent marketing is the equivalent of keeping your doors open. If you owned a physical art gallery, you’d get up every morning, drive to the shop, unlock it, and keep it open for business—because that’s what you do when running a retail business. You can’t just decide you’re burnt out, close the shop for a couple months, and expect to have a business. Online, keeping your gallery ‘open’ means being consistent with your marketing on social media, email, your website, and other channels. Consistency is everything. Just like a physical shop needs to stay open to generate revenue, your online presence needs to stay active to generate sales.
