What should I prioritize if I'm just getting started and don't have samples yet?

Stop everything else. Don’t work on your website, don’t start running ads, don’t stress about SEO or social media strategy. First, decide you’re serious about being an artist or photographer. Second, get your samples. That’s it. You’re not in the game without samples—you’re a knife salesman without knives. Once you have your sample kit, then you can move forward with marketing, selling, and building your business. Samples are the foundation.
