When should I stop marketing my older work and focus only on new pieces?

Don’t retire your older work too quickly. When you start to feel sick of talking about a piece or subject, that’s often exactly when your audience is just beginning to hear about it. What’s old to you is new to new customers. This is an important marketing lesson: just because you’re tired of seeing or promoting something doesn’t mean your audience is tired of it. Your back catalog can continue generating sales for years, especially as you bring in new collectors who haven’t seen your earlier work.
