Should I record myself working 24/7 to capture content, or how do I know when to record?
Never record 24/7—it will burn out your phone and create hours of footage you’d have to watch to find the good parts. Instead, anticipate milestone moments: you know when you’re about to make an important brushstroke, pour coffee, apply the first layer of color, or complete a significant step. Keep your phone nearby (in your back pocket) and take it out to record when those moments happen. Alternatively, stage your content—plan a couple hours to intentionally create content by making coffee, sketching, or performing other activities specifically to record them. Everything on social media is staged anyway; the point is to entertain and show your life. It doesn’t matter if it’s not perfectly candid. Plan accordingly instead of trying to capture everything constantly.
