Why should I offer multiple media types like metal, acrylic, and wood when I only like how my work looks on one type?
Not offering multiple media types is both a mistake and arrogant. Never assume you’re smarter than your customer. Your job is to find satisfied customers, not to dictate what’s best for them. When you offer all media types - paper, canvas, metal, acrylic, wood - you discover customers ordering things you never expected because they know better what they want for their own spaces. Half the market might prefer glossy when you only like matte. Modern homes with hard edges need metal or acrylic - if you don’t offer these, you’re not even participating in that market segment. Interior designers and hotels need these options. You’re leaving money on the table and limiting your conversion rates. This is empirical data, not anecdotal - artists who offer all core media types see significantly better results.
