I can't afford a large upfront investment right now. What should I do?
Any significant investment in your art business is going to cost you one way or another—either in money or in time. If you’re not investing in tools and education to solve your marketing problem, you’re going to pay for it in time lost. That time goes by and you don’t get it back. Years pass and you haven’t made progress on the fundamentals: capturing emails, building a proper lineup with POD, marketing on major holidays, and consistent promotion. The core truth remains: you have to fix the eyeball problem—getting people to see your work. Whether you invest money now or spend years figuring it out yourself, you must address the marketing fundamentals. Focus on those basics regardless of which path you choose.
