How can I personalize my email newsletters when I only have a small list?

If you only have 50 people on your list, take advantage of that small number. Add personal anecdotes for individual subscribers. For example, if you know Steve loves photos of Southern California waves and rocky beaches, start his email with: ‘Hey Steve, I know you love Southern California beach scenes. I just got back from a road trip up and down the coast—here’s a personal photo I took that I thought you’d like. I’m not listing this one in my store.’ Then include your regular newsletter content. This extremely personal approach creates a wow-level experience that’s impossible to maintain at scale.
