Does it matter what type of art or products I sell to be successful?
No, it doesn’t matter at all. Success can come from any blend: all originals, mostly originals with some commissions, all commissions, all prints, or any combination. It could be 60% selling your work and 40% service-based, or flipped the other way. It could even be 90% digital courses and 10% art, or vice versa. The point is that success is incredibly difficult to achieve with any single product. If you’re fortunate enough to have something that’s working and selling, the last thing you should do is take that success for granted by trying to shift your business model. The market has spoken—they love your particular product. Don’t change what’s working. Focus on the only metric that matters: your success, not how you get there.
