How will AI affect artists with large archives of older work?
Large photographic archives—especially those offline and not already scraped by AI—are actually growing in value. Companies are hungry to train AI on quality content. More immediately useful: AI tools (available within 3-6 months) will be able to scan your entire collection locally without exposing images to the internet, analyze what makes images interesting, and surface your best 5-10% automatically. You can have AI title and write descriptions for pieces too, so instead of starting from a blank page, you’re just editing. This removes the daunting barrier of organizing thousands of images.
