I'm in my 80s or 90s and have been creating art my whole life. I have so much art to sell but don't know how to get it seen or sold online. Is it too late to start?
It’s not too late, but start now. Every single artist in their 80s, 90s, or over 100 that I’ve spoken with says the same thing: ‘I wish I would have started on this 30 years ago. I wish I would have gotten started earlier in my career.’ Here’s the profundity: for the rest of your time on this planet, you’re going to be creating art and seeking feedback, critique, and ultimately sales. That’s just how you’re wired—it never turns off. Given the time you have left, whether that’s years or decades, it makes tremendous sense to start doing the things you don’t want to do NOW. Stop making decisions based on manufactured timelines. The sheer volume of poor decisions artists make because of artificial urgency is staggering. You need to begin marketing, get your work online, capture emails, and tell your story. The business will start growing if you commit to the process.
