Should I focus on creating art or handling the business side of my career?

Most artists just want to create all day and have somebody else handle everything else—that’s natural and there’s nothing wrong with it. The key is finding ways to delegate or automate the business tasks you hate so you can stay in your creative zone. When you’re at your best is when you have choices about how to spend your day and know that every option will lead to some form of income. Having multiple revenue streams (commissions, licensing, gallery sales, etc.) gives you the freedom to focus on what energizes you most on any given day.
