How do I handle people stopping to talk while I'm painting a large mural in public?

Embrace it. At first it can be frustrating if you just want to put your head down and work, but those interruptions are actually you growing an incredible fan base. Set up a cooler with water, play some music, put up a tent—make it a party. Meet people, engage with them, because they’re supporting you. Those conversations turn into collectors and opportunities.
