What paradigm should my art website follow?
Your website should mimic how art is viewed and sold in the real world—in art galleries and museums. Every gallery worldwide looks the same: minimalist, monochromatic walls (usually white), art hanging on those walls, proper lighting, and small placards with details and prices. Your website needs to be exactly the same—minimalist design, artwork front and center, easily viewable, with clear prices. Don’t treat your website as a canvas to express yourself with goofy fonts, huge blocks of text, different colors, and moving elements. Your creative gifting is actually your worst enemy here. The website is not your art; it’s the gallery that displays your art.
