How important is Instagram for selling art, and how should I approach it?

Remember that your audience on social media is not there to serve you—you are there to serve them. They want entertainment, not sales pitches. Your job is to tell stories and make connections. Don’t use social media to dump your personal baggage or complain about business frustrations; save that for coaches, mentors, or therapists. When you post about your life or family, always tie it back to your work somehow. Be intentional. Pause before posting and ask: is this me needing a place to vent, or is this genuinely providing value or entertainment? Social media is a business tool for making connections and sales, so treat it professionally even while being authentic.
