Why is having a range of prices important?

Price range directly impacts customer acquisition, which is critical for long-term growth. Compare two artists: Artist A has prices from under $100 to $1,000+ with hundreds of products through print-on-demand. Artist B only sells originals from $500-$5,000. Both market all year. Artist A acquires 160 customers; Artist B acquires 6. When the biggest buying season arrives (holidays), Artist A can email 160 customers versus 5. Who will do better? The artist who acquires more customers builds momentum that compounds year after year. It doesn’t matter if someone’s first purchase is $30 or $3,000—acquiring the customer is what counts, because it’s much easier to get someone who already purchased to buy again than to acquire them the first time. Even museums have gift shops—it’s just business, a mathematical equation.
