What is the small niche problem and how does it limit business growth?

Some niches are inherently small and will never support a large business, no matter how well you market. An example would be a business serving only extremely tall people who want to modify small cars—the market is just too limited. In art, you might be creating work that appeals to a very narrow audience. There’s a business there, but it will always be small because there simply aren’t enough potential customers to grow beyond a certain point. If you’re in a small niche and want to build a larger business, you need to either accept the size limitation or pivot to explore different styles or subjects that might have broader appeal. Some niches don’t have raving fans or strong passionate followings, which makes them especially difficult to market effectively.
