How do I create effective system prompts for AI projects?

Use AI to help you write better prompts—it’s very meta but extremely effective. Start by explaining your project to the AI in natural language: describe what data you have, what you want to accomplish, and what outputs you need. Ask the AI to ask you clarifying questions. Answer those questions (you can even say ‘assume yes to all’). Then ask the AI to write a system prompt for you. The AI will generate a detailed, well-structured prompt that you’d never write yourself. Copy this prompt, create a new project in your AI tool, paste it into the instructions, and save it. Now that project will always operate with those parameters. After you get results, refine by telling the AI what you liked and didn’t like, and have it edit the system prompt. This iterative process is how you level up—just start hacking at it.
