How should I approach people who show interest in my art at shows and fairs?
When someone stops and appears interested in your work at a show or fair, take the initiative and strike up a conversation. Introduce yourself as the artist and see where the conversation goes. Don’t wait for them to approach you first—be proactive. Conversations are an integral part of selling art, and all art sales have a conversation in there somewhere. If someone shows interest, it’s your job to start that conversation.
