Should I quit my day job to focus on photography full-time?
Having two jobs can provide security, but it can also prevent you from focusing 100% on success. The key is protecting the joy of creating your art—don’t let business concerns dampen your creativity early on. However, once you’re mentally ready to monetize without losing that joy, having only one focus allows you to bet on yourself fully. Consider starting part-time if possible, then transitioning as revenue grows. The important mindset shift is being truly committed to making the business work, not just treating it as a side hobby.
