Why do I need merchandising if I already have good product photos on my website?

Because a single flat product photo creates massive friction in the buying process. Think about car dealerships—they always have actual cars inside with lights on them, never just photos. When someone visits your site and sees only a flat image with a price, questions arise: What exactly am I getting? How thick is it? Does it come ready to hang? What does the back look like? Each unanswered question is a friction point where customers can abandon the purchase. Proper merchandising—showing every angle and detail—removes all those questions and friction points. It’s the difference between ‘maybe’ and ‘I’m buying this right now.’
