Should I worry about disrupting my current art business if I try new subject matter?

No. Trying new subject matter doesn’t mean you have to abandon or disrupt what you’re currently selling. You can keep your existing work available and continue with your passion projects while simultaneously testing new directions. Think of it as always looking for the next opportunity or the next hit, not replacing everything overnight. The goal is evolution and expansion, not destruction of what you’ve built. Your old work stays; you’re just adding new experiments on top.
