When is the best time to prepare for the biggest art selling season?
The fourth quarter (October, November, December) is the biggest art selling time of the year. The marketing you need to do to properly execute for Q4 begins in October. Ideally, you should get your foundation set up well before then—August is historically when many artists finally take action, though starting in January would be better. If you sign up in August, you still have enough time to get everything live, get your bearings, set everything up, get your marketing going, and then ride into Q4 prepared. Waiting until September or October creates a mad dash right before Black Friday, making it much harder to be properly prepared for the peak selling season.
