Should I use popups on my website even though people don't like them?

Yes, use popups because they’re simply effective despite being unpopular. You can use a full-screen popup, a lightbox popup, or a slide-in version. If popups truly concern you, you can use an exit popup that triggers when someone is about to leave your site. However, the most effective approach is a prominent popup - either full screen or one that appears as soon as someone hits your page. If you absolutely detest popups, at minimum place a prominent email signup on your homepage. The key is making it prominent - don’t bury the signup button in your footer or on an about page. Email capture is the number one thing you’re after from your traffic besides orders, and since the majority of traffic won’t be ready to order immediately, capturing emails is essential.
