How much time do successful artists typically spend on marketing per week?

Success isn’t about hitting a magic number of hours—it’s about consistency over time. What matters is writing the mental check to do it consistently for however long it takes. Start with whatever you can realistically commit to (say, 5 hours a week) and stay consistent. When you get your first win from that consistency, it fills the endorphin tank and you’ll naturally want to do more. The key is not quitting. Some people are more tech-savvy, some have better niches or live in hot markets—it’s a multivariate equation. Focus on staying consistent rather than finding the perfect number of hours.
