How do I stay consistent with marketing when I keep getting burned out and quitting?
If you owned a physical gallery, you’d keep the doors open 5-6 days a week, every week, even on days you didn’t feel like it. You wouldn’t flip the sign to ‘closed — artist burnt out’ and lock up for the summer. An online art business is no different. You have to keep the doors open, which means consistent marketing. What I see constantly is artists get fired up, market hard for a bit, then burn out and disappear for months or the whole year. The work keeps getting created, but the marketing stops. That’s why the business doesn’t grow. You need to do marketing consistently, even if it’s small amounts daily, like doing push-ups — start with what you can handle and build the muscle over time. Consistency over intensity wins.
