What is prompt chaining and how do I use it to get better results from AI?

Prompt chaining is a technique where you give the AI context in multiple sequential messages before asking for your final output. Start by telling the AI: ‘I have a bunch of context to give you. Do not respond until I type the word GO.’ Then, send several separate messages providing details about who you are, what you create, your target audience, your products, price points, and what you’re trying to accomplish. You can send this information in bite-sized chunks—three or four sentences at a time—and the AI will acknowledge each one without generating a long response. When you’ve given all your context, simply type ‘GO’ and the AI will generate a response informed by everything you’ve shared. This approach typically improves output quality by 30-70% compared to a single generic prompt.
