How can I avoid international shipping costs eating into my profits when selling prints?

Don’t let potential shipping problems stop you from opening up to international orders. The key is to get people to your store and bring eyes to your work first. If and when you actually receive an international order with expensive shipping, you can address it then—either by contacting the customer to arrange a solution, adjusting your pricing structure, or working out another arrangement. Don’t drown in a problem you don’t have yet. Focus on making sales happen, and cross the shipping bridge when you come to it. You can also consider raising your prices by an additional percentage and offering free shipping to bake the cost in.
