Why do people need to know my personal story as an artist?
Human beings are wired to make purchasing decisions from people we know, like, and trust. It’s very hard to know, like, and trust an inanimate object — even a beautiful piece of art. Throughout history, there are countless examples of great artists whose work didn’t sell until people connected with their story. You can’t build a relationship with your audience by hiding behind your canvas or lens. Share who you are, why you create, what you have in common with your audience. That connection is what transforms casual viewers into collectors. The art alone often isn’t enough — the story matters enormously.
