How do I test the market for my art if I'm just starting out?

Don’t wait—get your work in front of people immediately with whatever you have. If you can host a garage sale (or use a friend’s house), do it and display your art prominently alongside garage sale items. Set up in high-foot-traffic areas like beaches or public spaces—worst case, someone asks you to leave. The goal is real-world feedback and immediate sales attempts, not perfection. You don’t know what you don’t know until you actually try to sell. Don’t wait for the perfect inventory, the perfect booth, or the perfect plan. Start now with what you have.
