How can I get an objective evaluation of my artwork to boost my confidence?
Seek feedback from knowledgeable people outside your immediate circle - not from your mother, significant other, or friends who will always tell you it’s awesome. Getting a second pair of objective eyeballs on your art can be enormously helpful. Look for someone who can tell you how your work compares to similar artists, what strategies might work well for your style, and give you honest, constructive feedback. This kind of evaluation can be enough to get you over the confidence hump when you’re feeling low.
