When someone inquires about price via email, should I just tell them the price?
Never give pricing in an email or text response—always get them on the phone first. When someone expresses interest, send them an appointment link to schedule a call instead of replying with numbers. By the time a serious buyer reaches out about a specific piece, they’ve often already made up their mind to purchase; at that point you’re just negotiating the price, not convincing them to buy. The phone conversation lets you build rapport, understand their connection to the work, and have a real dialogue about value rather than just exchanging numbers in writing.
