I've been actively marketing for 6 months with no sales. What am I missing?
First, understand that 6 months is still very early in building awareness that you exist as a business. Before expecting orders, you need to make yourself seen and known in the digital world. Looking at your social media, you have only 12 followers—realistically, that means maybe one person sees your regular posts. While Reels reach more non-followers, frequency and consistency are critical for growing your audience. You cannot expect your entire small audience to buy; you need to warm them up and build trust. Focus primarily on audience growth: use your clear niche (landscape, nature, hiking) to join communities already interested in those subjects—Facebook groups about hiking, for example. People who hike to those locations may have a deeper emotional connection to those places. Post daily without an expiration date—this is ongoing work. Share your personal stories, the hikes you took, the journey to reach each location. Use video and Reels to tell these stories rather than just posting still images. Apply Instagram best practices for accounts under 1,000 followers. Remember: building a substantial, engaged audience that sells for you through word-of-mouth takes well beyond the first year for most artists.
