What's the most important factor in growing an art business once I have a website?
Marketing is the only thing that matters. Once your website has all the features you need for selling art, the website becomes essentially a commodity—it doesn’t matter beyond that point. Your entire business and its growth will be determined by marketing. Having a website doesn’t mean you have a business. Until you have a successful marketing strategy, you don’t have an art business—you have a glorified business card. This is why 99% of online stores fail regardless of platform. You have to solve the marketing problem and get traffic and eyeballs on your work.
