Should I create a YouTube channel for my art business, and what kind of content should I post there?

Only start a YouTube channel if you’re using it for omnichannel distribution of the same short-form content you’re already creating for Instagram and Facebook—these are called YouTube Shorts. This is a good strategy because you’re reaching a new audience with the same effort. However, avoid starting YouTube if you’re thinking of creating long-form videos (10 minutes to an hour)—that’s a completely different beast with different rules, and it’s not worth it if you’re not already comfortable with Facebook and Instagram. Don’t go down unnecessary rabbit holes. But if you’re simply posting your existing short videos (reels) as YouTube Shorts to expand your reach, that’s fine and requires minimal additional effort.
