I have multiple bodies of work in different styles and media—should I focus on just one niche or can I sell everything?
You can absolutely sell all of it. The conventional wisdom says you need to pick one niche, but many successful artists don’t have a single niche and do very well. You won’t actually know if you have a niche until you’ve gotten your work in front of enough eyeballs. When you start actively marketing everything, one of two things happens: either 80% of your revenue comes from 20% of your work (that’s your niche—go all in on it), or a smattering of everything starts selling, which means people are bonded to your creative eye and you’re free to create whatever you want. Put all your work up for sale—the courses, the watercolors, the oils, the digital work—from one website, and let the market tell you what resonates.
