How should I merchandise and promote my products before a holiday sale?
You need to ‘romance’ your audience during the lead-up period by showing the actual products - not just flat images, but the real items. Use video, go live, and open up your online gallery to show people what the products actually are. For example, an image that might not look special as a 2D file on a screen can look amazing on a pillow, tote bag, or other product - but people can only see that when you bring the store to them visually. Show your calendars, puzzles, mugs, pillows, and other merchandise items. This merchandising process is part of the romancing that gets people excited about what you have. Include gift cards in your promotions as well, because they’re perfect when someone wants to give your art but doesn’t know exactly which piece to choose.
