Do I need a niche to be successful as an artist or photographer?

A niche can be valuable, but it doesn’t have to be strategically planned. The most authentic niches often emerge naturally from your genuine experiences and what you’re compelled to create. Rather than forcing a niche by analyzing what might sell, focus on creating work that’s deeply personal and authentic to you. When you create from that authentic place, the right audience will find you and connect with your work. The niche may find you as a result of simply doing work that matters to you, rather than you consciously seeking it out.
