Why is it so critical to avoid bad advice when building an art business?

Bad advice from people with zero actual success is one of the biggest obstacles preventing artists from growing their businesses. This advice fills artists’ heads with self-limiting beliefs and literally stops them from taking action. The pattern is so common that you should always ask: ‘Where did you hear that? Who told you that?’ If the source hasn’t sold significant art themselves, disregard their advice. Instead, seek guidance from people who have demonstrated real success with data and results to back it up.
