How do I become a known personality in my local art community?

You have to be out in the community engaging with business owners, doing shows, and creating visible work like murals. Pick one community and start there. Build your presence, become a personality people recognize and remember. Go to events, introduce yourself as an artist, and let people see your passion for what you do. Being visible and personable is just as important as the quality of your work.
